    Kylie and Derrick | Chicago | Wrigley Field Engagement

    Everyone who knows us knows that we don't really care for Chicago. Jimmy and I both grew up in the Indianapolis area, and we are Hoosiers (well, Boilermakers) through and through. 

    But, I have to say, this engagement session wouldn't have been possible in Indianapolis. So, I'm going to cut Chicago a little slack today.

     

    ^ Can you say gigantic cubs fans?! They came up from their home in FLORIDA just for this session.

    As soon as I met with Leigh and she and I discussed our love for Anne Ruthmann, I knew that she and I were going to get along! So, it came as no surprise to me that I loved everything about this wedding!

    Mindy, Eric, Noah, Lucas | Family

    Throughout the years, my mom's side of the family has collected some surrogate family members. After a while, it just made sense for us to celebrate our holidays as one gigantic extended family. So, although Mindy and Eric are not technically my cousins, I consider Eric's mom a "bonus" aunt and Mindy and Eric as "bonus" cousins! (Eric's mom is my uncle Chuck's sister.) It's fun to see my "bonus" family members, and I was glad when Mindy contacted us about doing family photos!

    ^ Washington Township Park is under construction in a lot of places, especially on the trails. And one of the BEST trails is one that was "closed." Usually I obey the signs, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get the best shots! hahaha (We definitely weren't the only people back there!)

    This family might look familiar to you... TC is Mary Dietz's brother! So, blog stalkers should remember this whole family from Mary and Tanner's Wedding and the Crazy Photo Booth from the same wedding.

    I met Vicki at a portfolio review just before I graduated from art school, and she took one of my brochures, hoping that she would have a need for it! A little while later, I got an email from her saying that Mike had finally proposed! :)
