Hey there loyal blog stalkers!! I want to talk to you all about something serious!
Most of us have been impacted by breast cancer... ourselves, our mothers, our sisters, our friends. The Feltz family has also been affected by this disease; Jimmy's sister Lisa died from breast cancer the year before he and I met, leaving behind her three wonderful children and a family that loved her and still misses her. Since we're always talking about weddings here, I'm sure all of my brides and grooms out there can imagine how hard it would be to celebrate your wedding without your sister.
A few days ago, my dear Mary (Kidwell) Dietz, past bride and author of The Best Wedding Blog Ever, sent out an email promoting her Race For The Cure team. All of my brides know this: if they need support or publicity, they can come to me!! That was my call to action!!
Straight from THE Mary Dietz herself...

I can't believe it, but it's already that time of year again to race for the cure! This is our 4th year and running (errr, walking) as Nina Bird's Flock in the Susan G. Komen’s Indianapolis Race for the Cure®, and I am pumped to be a part of the promise to end breast cancer!
Nina Bird's Flock is the inspiration creation for Nina *The Bird* Stull, mother and grandmother extraordinaire! Through Bird's immeasurable strength and enduring heart of gold, she not only survived her battle with breast cancer, but has continued to thrive through the years... celebrating her 90th birthday this past summer!
Bird’s love has helped me learn how to fly and for that, I would like to thank her and ask all of you to...
Join me in the effort to support this beautiful cause and even more beautiful woman! This is your official email invitation to join me the Race 4 the Cure. Okay friends, I've made my donation, and I challenge you to do the same! Remember, it benefits SO many people, it's tax deductable AND it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. ;) Breast cancer research doesn't just stop at the breast... any breakthroughs made will impact cancer treatment as a whole!
